NIMASA Allocates Relief Materials To the 6 Geopolitical Zones.

NIMASA has extended its humanitarian gesture to Anambra State, where it donated medical materials for use in the efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and treat those already infected.

In a statement signed by the Head Corporate Communications, Mr. Phillip Kyanet, the Agency reiterated it's efforts to fight the pandemic which has claimed lives in Nigeria and brought economic activities to a hold.

Receiving the materials on behalf of Anambra state government, the
Secretary to the state, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, commended the Management of NIMASA for the kind gesture.

Mr.  Chukwulobelu pledged that the materials will be well utilised properly.

Among the materials donated were ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and hand sanitisers.

NIMASA had recently made similar donations to the Lagos State government at the flag-off of the anti-COVID-19 campaign, which the Agency plans to take to the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Lockdown Not To Abuse Nigerians’ Fundamental Human Rights -SGF

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr. Boss Mustapha, has said the lockdown is not intended to trample on the fundamental human rights of Nigerians.

Mr. Mustapha who is also the Chairman  Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 iterated the move is to trace infected persons and curb the futher spread of the virus.

Speaking to volunteer personnel from the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in Abuja who delivered ambulance, buses, medical equipment which includes ventilators, rapid test kits, sanitizers, the SGF reaffirmed the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic requires the cooperation of all and sundry, corporate bodies and individuals.
