NPA Calls For Greater Synergy Among Stakeholders

The Nigeria Ports Authority held it's quarterly meeting with the Ports Consultative Forum in Lagos recently.

The meeting which is geared at improving collaboration, sensitization and familiarization among others called out to stakeholders in the port industry to improve synergy relations towards a greater operational efficiency.

Addressing maritime stakeholders at the quarterly event, the Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman described the efforts of the Authority at ameliorating the cost of doing business in the ports which includes:

Palliatives at ending the gridlock in the Apapa environs, the conversion of the Lilipond  Container Terminal to a holding bay for trucks, incentives for the transfer of cargo through barges from Ikorodu, Epe, Ijegun among others plus innovation and call-up system for trucks.
