President Buhari Sends Ministerial List to Senate ... Screening Starts Today.

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a list of his 43 ministerial-nominees, comprising 14 returnee ministers and 29 new appointees to the Senate.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who read out the President’s letter at plenary on Tuesday, said the screening of the nominees would start on Wednesday (today).

The returnee ministers include Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers) ) Hadi Sirika (Katsina), Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna), Lai Mohammed (Kwara) and Chris Ngige (Anambra), while among the new appointees are Ambassador Maryam Katagun (Bauchi), Timipre Sylva (Bayelsa) and George Akume (Benue).

The remaining returnee ministers are Adamu Adamu (Bauchi), Abubakar Malami (Kebbi), Godfrey Onyeama (Enugu), Ogbonnaya Onu (Ebonyi), Osagie Enahire (Edo), Suleiman Adamu (Jigawa), Mohammed Bello (Adamawa) and Mustapha Baba Shehuri (Borno).

Kachikwu, Dambazau, Adewole, Shittu, 13 others dropped.

Boris Johnson Becomes UK Prime Minister Today

Boris Johnson, the face of 2016 Brexit referendum, has won the votes of 92,000 members of the Conservative Party to become the next UK prime minister.

Johnson was elected the new Conservative leader in a ballot of party members on Tuesday winning almost twice as much as his rival, Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

AFP reports that the former London mayor is expected to be confirmed as Prime Minister on Wednesday when Theresa May formally tenders her resignation to Queen Elizabeth II.

Whistleblower Alleges Fraud Against CBN Governor ...CACOL Calls For Investigations

The Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership CACOL, has requested for independent Investigation into allegation of willful defamation against the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

The allegation was made by whistle-blower George Uboh against the CBN governor over a N232bn fraud.

In a release issued by the Media and Publications Officer, Toyin Odofin on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Centre Debo Adeniran, he stated:

“Following the report that was published in Punch Newspapers earlier today, it was gathered that a whistle-blower named, George Uboh, has been arraigned for defamation and image tarnishing against the CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele.

"We would recollect how an online newspapers, SAHARA REPORTERS reported a scoop involving Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, his Deputy Edward Lametek Adamu and the Director for Finance, Dayo M. Arowosegbe, including one of the Special Advisers …
