EFCC and ICPC Urged To Investigate Matters of Financial Misappropriation

The Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership (CACOL) has urged the anti-graft agencies in Nigeria: the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, to investigate matters of alleged financial misconduct made by recently sworn-in governors against their predecessors in the respective states.

In a release issued by CACOL’s Coordinator for Media and Publications, Adegboyega Otunuga, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Mr. Debo Adeniran, he stated:
“Since the assumption of office by many of the newly sworn-in governors at the various states in the country on May 29, 2019, some of the governors have cried out over the ridiculous spending attributable to their predecessors with nothing concrete and tangible to show for it.
