The Apapa Customs Intercepts Pharmaceutical Products worth N110, 016,524.

Sandra Ukele.   The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service held its monthly press briefing to update the public on activities bordering on its anti-smuggling and revenue collection efforts. The Command had intercepted four 40-foot containers laden with controlled and regulated pharmaceutical products. These products include: 936 cartons of tramadol hydrochloride tablets; 56 cartons   Collstop chlorpheniramine malaete; 160 cartons Dubomol analgesic; 176 cartons of Col-cap; amongst others. The total duty paid value of the products stand at N110,016,524m. “Consequent upon this and worried by the present level of insecurity in the country, one wonders what negative impact would have resulted in the aftermath of these drugs finding their ways into the larger society.
