Letter of Commendation on SON Product Identification Mark

A letter of commendation has been sent off by the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders to the Standard Organisation of Nigeria. It reads:

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders
(NAGAFF) wishes to send this letter of commendation to you and your entire
management on the proposed introduction of the Product Authentication Mark
(PAM) which is SON’S initiative to “knock-out” sub-standard products from
the Nigerian market.

Your proactive and novelle initiative we believe
will in no small measure ensure that the Nigerian market for both locally
manufactured and imported goods conform to standards that will go a long
way to safeguard the lives and properties of the people of this country.

We also commend you for the gestation period you have given before this
initiative kicked off.  This we believe is very critical to enable all
concerned to adjust to the initiative of best practices.

Hadiza Usman Felicitates With First Female RTG Operators In Nigeria

Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has expressed pride and confidence in the special ability of the women folk in an effort to enhance the Maritime Industry and improve the Nation’s Economy through incursion into areas supposedly dominated by men. Speaking at the Tincan Island Container Terminal Ltd (TICT), the Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman eulogized Matilda Adeniran, Tina Onwudinwe, Abiola Adegoroye and Mary Ajayi who became the first set of professionals in the whole of Africa to be trained in the Operation of Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) (A specialized Cargo Handling Equipment).
