The Unrest Over NNPC Appointments.

Political  leaders and civil groups have accused the federal government of promoting a northern agenda in its recent lopsided appointment into top management positions in the controversial Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

The side-lined  selection which features 15 apointments in all has10 seats slated to the north, 3 to the Southwest, 2 to the South south and certainly none to the South east.

Not left out in the struggle is the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Afenifere and the Pan Niger Delta  Forum (PANDEF) who have described the activities as the latest in series of deliberate ethnic and religious bias in apointments into NNPC.

Expressing disdain the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Peoples Congress (PNDPC) Ayemi-Botu said:

"The present government is insensitive to the calls of well meaning Niger Deltans on the lopsided appointments and managementof the NNPC since the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari came on board,
