Tin-can Island Ports Set N1 billion Naira Daily Target.

As part of measures put in place by the Tincan Island Command  to remain the foremost revenue collector of the Nigerian Customs Service, COMPT. BASHAR YUSUF recently  met with the Officers in-charge of the Terminals as well as the Valuation personnel  in the Terminals to reiterate the imperative need to meet the revenue target of N2.8billion naira per month as issued by the Controller Generel of Customs Col. Hammid Ali. Compt. Yusuf who emphasized his zero tolerance for inappropriate examination of cargo, comparative analysis of declarations on the SGD (Single Goods Declaration) with the system declaration and appropriate valuation of goods to guide against  transfer of value amongst others, in his opening remarks drew the attention of the sectional heads to the role of the Customs Service to National development and the adverse implications of failure to meet such expectations on the Nigerian Economy.
