Obiano Commends His Victory With Acceptance Speech
The victory of the incumbent governor of Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano has received a resounding celebration all over the state with the governor delivering an Acceptance Speech in honour of the feat.
"With utmost humility I stand before you to accept the historic mandate you have bestowed on me today!
"The victory we savour belongs to the Almighty God who has shown that mmadu aburo Chukwu... All power belongs to God.
"It also belongs to our great party APGA and all our teeming party members across the world who sacrificed their comfort and time to work for our success," the paper read on.
Chief Obiano continued, "It belongs to truck pushers, Okada riders who have clearly seen in our recent political experience, a glimmer of light in the horizon.
"It belongs to farmers in Ayamelum, Onono, Ogbaru, Omasi, Omor and Ufuma who have now realised that agriculture is the future of Nigeria.
"So I reach out a hand of brotherhood to my fellow contestants who ran for elections on other platforms. And I say to you my brothers we have fought a good fight but Anambra state is the winner. The interest of Anambra state is bigger than the private ambitious of anyone of us.
"Indeed, the victory is referendum on the solid resolve of Ndi Anambra to rise above average in all we do. We have demonstrated that we are capable of taking charge of our lives and making difficult decisions that will brighten the future of our children."
Chief Obiano extended his goodwill message to the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari for proving to Ndi Anambra that under his watch democracy will sink deeper roots in the Nigerian soil.
"Mr. President promised us free and fair elections. Today we can all see that he has kept his promise. Thank you so much Mr. President.."
The incumbent governor of Anambra state also commended the vigilance of the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Army and other law enforcement agencies whose alertness ensured that the express will of the people was not subverted. Indeed you have done an incredible job."
