OGUN POLICE ARRESTS FATHER FOR CHAINING SON TO A POST

The Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 41 yr old man Adeoye Oreyomi for assaulting his son and chaining him to a post.

Mr. Oreyomi had accused his son 13- year old son Demola Oreyomi of stealing his N2000 and in the process had stripped him naked and bound him hands and feet with chains.

The State Spokesperson SP Abimbola Oyeyemi stated on Tuesday that the suspect who resides at 9, Dokun Street Ewuga Shagamu claimed his son stole his N2,000 naira and as a result stripped the boy naked before using a chain to lock both hands and feet of the lad.

He iterated that neighbors who witnessed the assault feared the boy might due to the savagery and quickly alerted the Police at Shagamu Divisional Headquarters and the DPO SP Aduroja Moses led his men to the scene.  The boy who was soaked in his own blood was rescued and taken to Owokoniran hospital Shagamu for medical attention.

The suspect has been arrested.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

He equally warned that the command will not tolerate any act of lawlessness from anybody no matter how highly placed the person may be.
