11 Survive As Two Planes Collide Mid-Air

Two skydive planes doing a maneuver called tracking dive collide into each other yesterday at about 6pm.

The flight instructor, Mike Robinson, who was in the lead plane when the tracking plane collided into it, said, " We were just kind of lucky that we were at the point where we were out of the airplane. If we'd been back in the rear of the airplane when they collided it might have been a little bit different."

Immediately they ran into each other both wings of the lead plane broke off while the pilot jumped off in a parachute. Other parachuters had to maneuver theirs ways using their chutes to avoid the raining debris.

All 11 on board alighted unhurt left for the pilot of the lead who sustained minor injuries and was rushed to hospital.

Hectic day Hector.
