37 Milliom-man Match For Jonathan in 2015

Society For The Defence Of Democracy has said it would organise a 37-million man match for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

The National Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Mohammed Bago, confirmed this when he paid a courtesy visit to PDP National Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukurin Abuja on Teusday.

He said that one million persons from each of the 36 states of the Federation would partake in the march which would commence from the northern parts of the country.

Bago urged politicians to desist from demanding for the alleged one term agreement signed by the President before he assumed office in 2011.

He confirmed that the President was eligible to re-contest for elections if given the chance to do so.

Bago cautioned the splinter group of the PDP who engaged in endlessly critisizing the National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and the President Goodluck Jonathan, stressing that those who did such were actually in their second tenure of office and only seeking relevance.

Meanwhile, another group Arewa Political Women Frontiers, have also given their consent to the Tukur-led National working Committee (NWC) of the party.

The leader of the group, Hajia Ramatu Mohammed, said they would organise women from the north to join the PDP to secure electoral successes for the party come 2015.

Responding, Tukur said he was overwhelmed by their support for the party and President Jonathan.

He urged the group to take the message of peace and unity to the grassroots.
